Bob Burnett

Director, ADNZ NZCD(Arch)

Bob Burnett has 30 years’ experience in commercial and residential architecture and construction. Bob worked for leading Architects in Christchurch prior to starting his own firm in 1999 and has wide experience with affordable high performance homes and commercial buildings. Bob has an affinity with solar and passive house design. A trained certified Homestar Assessor, he designed New Zealand’s first 7 star homestar rated home in 2011 and more recently the first 10 homestar built rated home. ADNZ (Architectural Designers of New Zealand) Professional Member since 2000 & LBP Licenced Building Practitioner.

Shizuka Yasui

Director, Registered Architect (Japan)

Shizuka Yasui joined the firm in 2000 and since then has created many award winning eco-homes and hill homes often with a Japanese influence. Prior to this she worked as an architect in Japan designing spatially efficient homes while working for Panahome who are market leaders in quality sustainable quake-safe modular homes. A Japan Registered Architect, Level 1 -(It is the opposite to NZ as in Japan Level 1 is the highest level) representing a small group of the top Architects and who are able to work on projects of all types and sizes.

Miyuki Miyakoshi

Senior Architectural Technician, Nat. Dip. Arch. Tech.

Miyuki joined BBA in March 2016 and is a senior architectural technician. A trained Homestar Practitioner & (soon-to-be) Certified Assessor, she has a passion for warm healthy eco friendly home with innovative designs.

Miyuki has extensive experience as an architectural technician in Christchurch, having worked for notable architects prior to joining BBA.

She enjoys working as part of a team with clients, consultants and contractors alike and thrives to make someone’s dream home a reality. Happy home, happy people.

Jasmin Mockford

Architectural Technician

Jasmin has been working in the Architectural industry since 2010 after completing a Bachelor of Architectural Studies. She has worked on a variety of residential, commercial and interior projects over this time.
Since joining Bob Burnett Architecture, she has developed a passion for eco-architecture and continues to strive for rational, functional, client specific designs that promote a better living environment.

Beth Black

Architectural Technician

Beth Black graduated with a postgraduate diploma in Architecture from Victoria University in 2012.
Prior to joining Bob Burnett Architecture, she worked in Christchurch for 4 years on energy efficient homes and has extensive experience with SIP panel construction.
